My name is Brian Kelly and I am Running for Congress.

I am running for Congress to help return the government to the people. It has been stolen by neocons and socialists and nasty liars... I kid you not.

Don't you think that  it's about time we insist on a safe and sound return of the government to the people.  We won't have to steal it from Nancy Polosi and Harry Reid and Paul Kanjorski, because it is already ours.  We control the government.

Isn;t that a novel idea.  We control the government by our vote.  Thank the Founders for that one.  So, Let's Send Paul Kanjorski packing and vote for one of our own for Congress.  Then we can again have government of the people, for the people, and this is the most important, by the people.  I am ready to serve.

Our leaders have shown little respect for you and I in our role as We the People. They spend our money like drunken sailors. Even worse than the big spending, they have stained the halls of Congress with their corruption and their bribery, and their lies, and their outright disdain for you and I.  They do not like US.  Paul kanjorski does not like us. On May 18, we can show this entire Congress the way home.   Paul Kanjorski, get out your GPS because you are going to need it again soon to find Nanticoke... on your way home for good. .

Let me say it again.  My name is Brian Kelly and I am running for Congress to fight waste and corruption and to save the American Dream. This Congress did all it could to destroy the American Dream, but it is still here, and I pledge to protect it..

Like you, I am tired of all Washington politicians, not just our own.   You know that at election time, they all claim to represent our interests, but instead once safely back in Washington, they only seek to further their own interests. The solution is simple.

Don't  send them back to Washington.

Why is Congress so bad? Did this just happen?  Just like our debt did not show up over night, Congress did not get tainted overnight.

We get the government we deserve. Sorry folks, We are the ones who let this happen. You and I did this to ourselves by not paying attention.

We let these country-clubbers do whatever they wanted to do and now we really have no right to blame somebody else's congressman for the problem. We have to blame our own Congressman Paul Kanjorski, and we have to take a little bit of the blame ourselves for letting him do it!

Look no further, we have met the enemy and it is our own representative.  I am not suggesting that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama are our friends.  They are not friends of Northeastern PA. But, neither is Paul Kanjorski.

A full Nine out of ten times, plus one, Mr. Kanjorski chose California and Nancy Pelosi rather than Northeastern PA.   Then, on March 21, he did it again and turn control of our health freedom over to Barack Obama, who is a clear socialist.

No problem is without a solution.  We can solve this problem.  We should solve this problem.  We must throw all the Bums Out.

Housecleaning begins at home. We can't send our guy back with a nine out of ten bad record.

The TEA party are guys and girls like you and I.  They have no common politician affiliation.  Yet, out of all of Congress, they lobbied Paul Kanjorski's office March 9?

Why?

Because Paul Kanjorski does not vote with the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania and Paul Kanjorski does not vote with the people of the United States.

The TEA Party does not like him.

It is not that he is a bad guy.  It is because he is misguided by friends.

He and his friend Nancy Pelosi are hurting America.

Northeastern Pennsylvania Tea Party members hoped that by protesting outside U.S. Rep. Paul Kanjorski’s Wilkes-Barre office they would convince him to vote against the proposed health care bill then in Congress.

Nancy Pelosi whispered in his ear, and Rahm Emanuel poked him in the chest but that was all show.  Paul Kanjorski was voting for Obamacare anyway.  And he did. He sold out all of his people in NEPA and he sold out America with that vote.

Glen Senese, 49, head of the NEPA TEA Party said "politicians such as Kanjorski, D-Nanticoke, are ramming the health care bill down people’s throats, even though he said most Americans do not want health care reform."

I think that about says it all

Even though most Americans do not want health care reform.

Hey, we actually do want healthcare reform. We don't want Obamacare.  We don't want government in control of our lives. We don't want government control.

We want our freedom, our liberty and our own health plans -- not Obamacare.

'“This is the first time I can remember in my life that the American people have said we don’t want something. The politicians have said ‘You’re stupid, we know better than you.’ The stupid ones are actually the politicians,” Senese said."

Maybe it is time to have some TEA. This is not the USSA as it seems to have become.

It is nothing like the USSR (United States of Soviet Russia) and I want to keep it that way.  It seems that Barack Obama wants to be the head Commissar and Paul Kanjorski votes just like a good comrade.

This is the USA and let's keep the American dream alive rather than selling it to the highest bidder.

Let's keep China and Russia and their communist ideologies out of the US government and all offices.

So, how about all of US here in the 11th District of the State of Pennsylvania? How do we fix this?

Shall we all resolve to do at least one thing in this next election?

Are you up for it?

Shall we do our part by not sending back same-ole same-ole because that will get us same-ole same ole.

Same ole Same ole  is not working.

I am your guy.  I know more than ever that I am your guy.  I will not accept this crap when you put me in Office by voting in May and November.

Please vote in May and November!

Hey even if for your own reasons you think I am not your guy,  I am your guy. You owe it to yourselves and the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania  --

Do just one thing, regardless of what you do with me--->

Do not send Paul Kanjorski back for a fourteenth term!!!!

Some say eight is enough!

Isn't it good enough to say   ---       Enough is Enough

Our Congressman for so many years has gotten so accustomed to Congress that he does not even realize that he became part of the problem and he is definitely not part of the solution.

Does he even still have an address in Northeastern PA?

Maybe that is not fair and if no, I am sorry!

One of my concerns if we send Paul Kanjorski and his cronies back to Washington is that he and his cronies will join together and start taking Rosetta Stone lessons in Chinese on the Capital Rotunda.

Then they will all be able to ask the Communist Chinese for money in terms the Chinese can understand.  Then what?  Hah! Will they loan us more?

Corey O'Brien is also running against Mr. Kanjorski.  Both he and Paul Kanjorski are lifetime politicians.

O'Brien sees his ten years as a Washington attorney as non-political.

Only he knows.

I know that I never worked in Washington and never held office and my two sons who are both attorneys listen to everything I say.

Then they do what they want.

Obrien knows that you need the power of money to get elected. In January O'brien noted that Kanjorski's wad was nine times bigger than his.

I am taking no contributions so there's is infinity larger than my war chest. I have no wad.

In fact, I don't even have a chest.

Justin F. Carroll, Mr. O'Brien's campaign manager, went on to tell the press that Mr. Kanjorski is "well-financed by special-interest donations from Wall Street" while Mr. O'Brien's contributions come mostly from local people.

Corey O'Brien seems like an awful nice guy and I am sure he is.  One day, I would be pleased to tell you all he is worthy of your vote.

But, until I know, I am sure of one thing. I represent nobody but the people. Nobody owns even a part of me.

I hope my wife wasn't listening!

If we are trying as a country to clean up Wall street, that is probably an inconvenient fact for Mr. Kanjorski.  His campaign money comes from Wall Street!

If he were not a Washstinktownian that might be a conflict of interest for a high ranking member of a banking committee to take money from those he regulates. But, it is Washstinktown.

This is the first time that I have seen everybody talking about the dirty subject of  politics in Washington.  Oh, lots of people talked about this eover the years but even the disinterested are intersted this time..

Both Democrats and Republicans are agreeing in the towns of America that something is woefully wrong.

This election is not about which person everybody needs to know in order to get a job in the future. This election is about jobs, period, and the health of America. Will anybody work again?  Does Obama care?  Maybe that is the biggest issue of Obamacare.  Does Obma care?

I plan to represent all the people on a level playing field. Nepotism and Cronyism do not help anybody.  They are gone!  We'll send backhoes to get the bad roots out of Nanticoke.

American corporations need to think America First before taking jobs overseas and small businesses need to be left alone without red tape so they can create the jobs that America needs.

And, why shouldn't those jobs come to Northeastern PA. I see that as my job. After preserving the republic from excessive spending, JOBS in the private sector is my first priority.

Having worked for a very large corporation and a number of small businesses, I know what is needed.

Here's my jobs plan

US Corporations are taking great jobs overseas by the millions. They really are global corporations and are no longer loyal to the US.   Along the way to success, they forgot about America.  When they take jobs overseas, they don't pay as much corporate income tax and they can invest money in foreign plants rather than be taxed on it.  They stopped caring about America. Is that what you see?

So, they not only steal the jobs away from America, they basically stop paying tax on overseas profits.  Who are we kidding that that is good for America?

It stinks!

Additionally, on the home front, illegal immigrants are taking jobs in construction and meatpacking.  In this bad economy, those are very good jobs.  Perhaps even the picking of berries and other nutritionous items can be part of the jobs that Americans cannot get too!

On top of that, the US Congress, despite the Jobs situation all across the country has not closed or even slowed down the spigot on Worker Visas. There are over 80 different Visa types. Many of them are designed by corporations and approved by Congress specifically to take American jobs.

Let's just talk about one type.  There is thing called H-1B that lets companies bring in the top minds from around the world.  The cap on H-1B Visas even in 2010 is 65,000 per year.  The conclusion you are to form is that Americans are not smart enough to get those Jobs!  That is crap!

Some stay 6 years and some stay 10.  Multiply 65,000 by 10 and you get 650,000. So, somewhere between 400,000 and 600,000 phenomenally smart visa holders, soon to be illegal aliens, steal American jobs on ther path to citizenship.  In other words, some choose to never leave regardless of what we think and they ultimately become part of the illegal underground -- but they make a lot more money than the poor, and more than they did when they were indentured servants under the H-1B law.

They take your job and my job. Worse than that, they take our kids jobs so when our kids graduate from College,  unless they want to go to India, they remain unemployed.

This sin is what prompts Obamacare ironically to solve a problem that in some families is caused by too many Visas.  That is why parents need protection for their children who have yet to turn 27 years fof age.  Foreigners have the jobs.

No, that is not fair to Americans.

Obamacare answers a reality that kids of American families whose college garduates cannot get jobs and therefore need parental insurance.

Finally the gumment has decided that Parents can keep their unemployed offspring on the local insurance policy til they turn 27.

Yo, Hey! Would it not be better if ther were real jobs for the kids!

This land is not a global act in which and for which all nations compete. This is America, of, for, and by Americans but we forget.

How can I fix that?  I will propose or cosponsor legislation to make it lots better. Let's talk about just these the three solutions:

  1. Offshoring made to work for Americans
  2. Illegals making $5.00 more per hour
  3. Americans First on Visa work

Offhoring made to work for Americans

How about a 10% corporate income tax?  It would be the lowest in the world.  All of a sudden businesses would be coming to the US with good jobs because they would be able to make more money here than anyplace else.

How about up to a 10% tax penalty -- up to 20% corporate income tax for "Bad" American Corporations who send jobs to other countries.  IBM is one of those.

They will pay as much as double the tax of good corporations.  Not only that. Let's call them out by name so you know who the scoundrels really are.

You can choose not to vote for their products by not buying them.

How about illegal aliens taking American jobs.

Without even talking about deportation, which is another issue, let's make a law that says employers must pay every illegal worker $5.00 per hour more than they currently receive.

Except that $5.00 does not go to the worker. It is a tax that goes to the government to help pay unemployment benefits or maybe social security for American workers.

Let's see how long it takes before companies cannot afford their deceptive practices of not hiring Americans.  Let's let the IRS agents that Obama is hiring for healthcare collect the tax.

Regarding the Visas, there is lots we can do

About 400,000 Visa-holding foreigners have jobs in the US that can be held by our own citizens.   This is our country.

Cut the Visas by 90 to 95% so we can still have opportunities here in the US for the best and the brightest from across the world but not at the expense of putting Americans and our fresh college graduates out of work.

Bring An Auto Manufacturer & A Corporate HQ to NEPA

Only a person who never asks, nevr will receive.

Finally, I would like to work with the Chambers of Commerce in all of our counties in Northeastern PA, along with the Congress-person who defeats Chris Carney when he gets thrown out for his lack of citizenship, to find a foreign auto company to build a major plant in Northeastern PA.

Additionally, I would like to work with this group to have a major corporation locate its corporate HQ in Northeastern PA.

We've got great people in NEPA --- great workers, tons of Colleges / Universities and graduates, and lots more than that. Here's the best news

We're ready!

We are ready to be successful!

It's about time!

I’m running to help the economy of NEPA and the US. I am running to create lots and lots of good jobs.

Additionally, I am running because I am tired of being taken advantage of by people who don’t understand what you and I are going through to make ends meet. I am running because it is time someone who understands what the everyday American needs represents us in Washington, DC.

It is long past time for District 11 to have a representative who will fight to save and create jobs, cut government waste, invest in our infrastructure, and ensure our children, have opportunities to succeed.

We need new leadership in Washington. Leadership we can trust.

-----------------------------------
About 100 years ago, my great grandparents were legal immigrants to the United States of America.  They came with nothing but the desire to live the American dream.

They spoke English as did the Irish and so they went on to become part of the great melting pot of our society, not to become hyphenated-Americans, but to become just Americans. They sacrificed not only for their own future, but for their children’s future, and for generations to follow.

I am a true grass roots candidate. I am unencumbered by any political baggage. I love America and I love the idea of America and I love the memory of all the brave that helped make America, and all the brave who came from distant shores to make America what it is today, and I love my great grandparents on both sides for making the trip.

I am a leader who will be true to the founding principles of the original Democrat Party, of the people, and for the people, as government should be by the people.  These are the precepts of our founding fathers and the Constitution.  These are the precepts in which YOU and I believe.

Some of you may remember Jim Traficant for his weird hair and his ability to say what he believed even if it brought him down. It did.  I don't know if he was a bad guy or not. I still don't but he sure fought for his reputation.  Jim Traficant may be a criminal but maybe --- just maybe,  he was a fall guy .  I have seen more sins in Congress over the last several months than I think Jim Traficant, guilty or not-guilty could have sinned in a lifetime.

This Congress, who, by their votes steal more from the American public than Jim Traficant did or ever intended to are some of the worst human beings God has ever created.  .... .... throw the bums out .... all of them... Start Congress fresh and new without the stain and the stink of the corruption brought on by the 111th Congress.

Recently, since his release from prison, Jim Traficant has been talking a lot. In his comments, Traficant complains about the "communist" tax code and says he doesn't like "this bashing of the rich."

He is not rich and I am not rich and on that point, we agree.

"I'm a capitalist," Traficant says.  "I don't like an economy that rewards dependency, penalizes achievement, subsidizes illegitimacy and chases jobs overseas."

To that, I say one word ----"Bravo!"

Too bad Jim "is a crook." I could get to like him. But maybe, just maybe, he is not a crook. I really do not know.  Maybe he was set up for not towing the line. Just Maybe! Would our Congress do that to one of its own. Ask Eric Massa?  This guy over-night became the tickle bum and the object of Rahm Emanuel jabs in the chest, naked in the shower.  Who knows if Traficant and Massa were both railroaded?  One of Jim Traficant's constituents really likes him and he says there are many more who like the defrocked Congressman:

" I’m sure, though, that his replacement will be some sensibly dressed fellow who not only brings home the pork like Traficant did, but who, with a lock-step mentality, tows the party line—meaning that he’ll vote to have the IRS forcibly take more of your money every year, vote for more control over how you can use your property, vote for more U.S. military intervention around the globe, vote to allow the FBI to run roughshod over your rights, vote for handing over control of your life to international governmental bodies like the U.N., and vote for all of the usual things that a “respectable” member of the House is expected to vote for. It will be business as usual, that business being the legalized theft committed by the central government in Washington every day as it methodically goes about its routine business of sacking and pillaging the American people.

"Yet, for all of the new guy’s stealing from you and me in all that he does, Washington being what it is, Traficant, ironically, will be the one everyone remembers as a crook."

Except for two months after I left IBM waiting to begin my consultancy at College Misericordia in 1997, I've worked, hard. I started it all when I was  5 years old.   I kid you not!

When I was five I would buy huge baby carriages at the Salvation Army for ten cents and I would use those to collect papers from neighbors to take to the junkyard. The junkyard was a block and a half from home.

The big baby carriage which most young folks have never seen was perfect.  The papers stacked nicely in those old time baby carriages. They fit exactly in two columns.

I really do not know what it is to not work, On my way to IBM, College Misericordia, My IT Consultancy and my faculty position at Marywood, I called in sick only when very sick. I still put in 50-plus hour weeks.

Nothing was given to me. I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am.  Given the economy, I am tickled to have a few ways to make a buck, and like many of you, there is no real retirement in sight.

So, overall, it is a good time for me to run for Congress.

Hey, I could use a job!

Though I have a lot of energy to go on talking for a lot longer, I must admit that I am tired of a bunch of things.  I would suspect that is the case with you also.

For example, I have similar feelings to Robert Hall (not the former clothier on Empire St. In Wilkes-Barre or my Accounting Professor at Wilkes). He has expressed his frustration in a major blog on the Internet and he says it well.  Hall says:

"I'm tired, very tired.  I'm tired of  being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic.

I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes."

Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help.  But if they bought mansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble, help them with their own money.

I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers.

In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe , the freedom of the press of China , the  crime and violence of Mexico , the tolerance for Christian people of Iran , and the freedom of speech of Venezuela .

I think it's very cool that we have a black president, and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation.  I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, Colin Powell, Walter Williams, Alan Keyes or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual, and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.

I'm tired of a news media that thinks Bush's fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that thinks Obama's, at triple the cost, were wonderful;

That thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress;

That picked over every line of Bush's military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his;

That slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama, with three years as senator, as potentially the best president ever.

Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News?  Get a clue.  I didn't vote for Bush in 2000, but  the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures," we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and Madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America , while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate.

...

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do.

Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off?

I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs.  And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.

I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime.  What's next?  Calling drug dealers "Undocumented Pharmacists?"

And, no, I'm not against Hispanics.  Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion.

I'm willing to fast-track for citizenship any Hispanic person who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record, and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military.  Those are the citizens we need.

I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military...

British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.

I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue, and the other party has a corner on corruption.

Read the papers; bums are bipartisan.  ... [how about] the tax cheats in Obama's Cabinet.

I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor.  The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor."  The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.

I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions.  I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

OK, there may be a little bit of Robert Hall's thoughts that you don't like. Maybe there is a lot..  I am betting though that it is just a little.

I love America, the land where anybody can be anything.  The land of the free and the brave.  America is where freedom reigns.

I love America so much that I am running for Congress .

I'll say it one more time.

As nice a guy as he is, Barack Obama is a socialist. The scoundrels in Congress who lied that they are socialists so they could get elected are socialists.  I am a Democrat. You are a Democrat.  Unless you are willing to give your car, your home, your wallet, and your bank account, and that extra case of beer you got hidden to the guy down the street, you too are a Democrat, or God Forbid, you are a Republican.  But, that too is better than Socialist, Communist, Marxist, Fascist, or any other ist you can think of.

You love America

I love America

Congress hates your ass.

Obama wants to own your ass.

Let's kick all their asses so far out of Washington that we don't ever have to worry about them again.

And let's bring in people who for the most part are like us -- like you and I

People who are of the people

People who are for the people

And People who will assure that finally we can have a government by the people.

Shall we say, AMEN!

Wouldn't that be a grand day!!!
