Government has already grown too big, and it is growing even bigger and its bigness is dangerous to our freedom.  I want to help restore good government to America, restore prosperity to all. Lower taxes, limited government, and severely reduced spending will mean that we have learned fiscal responsibility.

Capture Back America

Now it is our turn. It is our American duty to hold our leaders accountable when they do not take seriously their oath to uphold the Constitution. America is not supposed to be a Marxist nation.  It is up to us, the underpinnings of democracy, the people of the United States to not sit still but to take action.  It is up to us to become part of the grassroots movements such as the TEA Party and join those who are fed up with corruption and the trashing of the Constitution reclaim our pride, our country, our America - right now, before it is too late.

How can an American not support protecting all Americans' right to live free and independently.  Get out your measuring sticks folks and you will see that our personal liberties have gradually been eroded. What is that all about ?  The federal government has decided on its own that it has more power than the states and the people that live in the states.  The states are not going to put up with it.  That is unconstitutional.

The founders gave primary power to the states and used the Constitution to deny the federal government power over the states. Though the commerce clause is often used as the big mistake in the constitution that permitted a large Federal government, we know from history this was never the intention of the Founding Fathers. We know how intrinsically evil it is as we watch the charade in Washington and we hope each day there is no news. The fact is that the states have all power but the Feds are taking more and more because until now, the states have permitted it.  So, what happened?

Somewhere along the way the Congress and the President asserted that government, not the people ruled this country. This is called Progressivism, and it is a big disease that the President, the Congress and the Senate, both Republicans and Democrats are spreading.  It is anti-American.  It must end. While we have the chance, we must throw them all out and quickly.

Throw the Bums Out -- Stop Government Control Now

I think it will take a long time before any political party fully gains the trust of the American people again and I think that is good. No party, not even my own, deserves the trust of the American people right now.  We all must maintain our vigilance to assure that the government is never in a position to hurt us ever again.  It's time to clean up this mess in Washington!

There is a lot wrong. There is more wrong than there is right. it is time to stop it. It is time to end it. It is time to get Mr. Cartwright and 434 others out of Washington!  It is time to clean Washington out with a major disinfectant!  Washington needs new leadership who will actually represent the people. That ladies and gentlemen is YOU, and I. We have been punished by Congress for too long.  That is why I'm running for office.  That's why I'm asking for your write-in vote.  Your vote for me will guarantee your voice in Washington!

Political Corruption

No matter how far you look, especially in Northeastern PA, you find nepotism, cronyism and corruption. These are the ills at the local level and then on the National stage you have the special interests and the lobbyists. There are an awful lot of bad people who feel very comfortable living with corruption. These bad people have hijacked our representative republic, our America.  They sold themselves to get elected, and then they sold us out to the special interests and anybody with an open wallet and the promise of a big campaign war chest.  They have enriched their own lives at the peril of us all. That is why I will take not a dime from any interest, special or otherwise, and I will be dedicated only to the people who I pledge to serve.

We Cannot Trust Congress

This Congress compared to others is especially bad.  They cannot let something go without making it worse.  The infamous Wall Street Bailout Bill for example started out as Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson Jr.'s three-page proposal. It was his idea as to how to fix the problem, Once in the hands of Congress, what could have been a simple and to the point bill, though still not welcomed by the people,  morphed into a 451-page monster with unrelated tax-extensions,  tax-increases,  and energy legislations. They just can't help it.  Isn't this a big reason why the American public were skeptical of any the bailout plan and why voters know we cannot trust the Congress.

Whether it is the bailout bill or any of the other monsters leading to the 2700 page Obamacare bill that just passed, most citizens would have thought that it would be against the law to vote on a bill you haven't read. Sorry Mr. or Mrs. Representative, Sorry Mr. Cartwright! It is not OK to vote on a bill that you haven't read that will spend millions, if not billions and trillions of OUR tax money! That's not representation, that is malfeasance of office. And, this Congress and our incumbent are guilty as charged.

Government Is Rarely the Answer

Ronald Reagan was a great man and even members of my party recognize him as such finally today.  He said that  the solution to America’s problems isn’t more Government. You and I know there is already too much government! More of a bad thing is not going to make it better.  Despite the Space Shuttle tragedies from years back, if you are looking for something that government has done right, look no further than NASA.  NASA has consistently been one of the government's only bright lights of accomplishment. This was not because there was a bloated bureaucracy in NASA. Instead, it was because NASA always had to run lean and mean. They  got the best and the brightest Americans to take on the challenge of being Astronauts or working in the development labs or in Houston.  What stellar accomplishments -- and they were of the government.

Ironically, continual de-funding and NASA budget cutting over the years has dimmed NASA's lights and the US is no longer the leader in space. How do you feel about that?  Is that really good for US? Now President Obama has pulled the plug on the Space Shuttle and future space exploration.  This makes US dependent on the Chinese and Russians to put up our Military satellites, GPS systems, TV satellites and the like. Is that good for our National Defense?  It is ironic that in the one of the very few things that government control has helped, (SPACE) where we really need government, our sweet, friendly government is shutting it down.

Take Healthcare as another example.  We do not need the government for healthcare.  The private sector seems to be doing just fine providing healthcare to all Americans so why does the government want to control that and give control of outer space to Russia and China.  My dad would say that somebody has their head screwed on wrong.  I would agree.  Government should do only what we cannot do for ourselves. Stay out of the Doctor/Patient relationship, Please! We'll handle that ourselves. After all, it is our bodies.  Oh, and Mr. Obama, feel free to put up another space ship anytime you wish.
