When the government creates government jobs, who pays for these government jobs? They are paid for by an already overtaxed private economy -- by you and me. Does it not make perfect sense that government would seek to expand its payroll since every new bureaucrat becomes a likely advocate for even bigger government and the entrenched politician and bureaucrats become even more powerful.
Here is a conundrum with which to wrestle. Are those working for the government and collecting a regular check from the government more likely to see the President as their boss rather than a representative of their interests? Will they follow his commands or will they treat him as somebody who must listen to them as citizens of the nation?
Regular Americans -- that's YOU and I -- have not demanded that the government create all these government jobs. Why would anybody want to pay for the creation of a bogus job so that somebody else could say they are working. Welfare would be a better support option since welfare recipients do not make the rules as do government workers. There is a perspective shared by Ron Paul that almost all government jobs are bogus. Nobody in their right mind would chip in, and create a "cush" managed by the government to hire the friends and relatives of high ranking bureaucrats. Ron Paul suggests that "the more the burden, the closer the government parasite comes to killing its host." Has our government become a parasite? Some may say it always has been but the snakes now somehow think it is safe to be seen in public.
Government creates problems not solutions
The big problems with our health care system and all government "systems," is not because government has not intervened but because government has intervened and has distorted reality. The hand of government is all over the healthcare system of today -- pre Obamacare and post-Obamacare. The US needs less, not more regulation. The major healthcare issues such as preexisting conditions and insurance maximums are solved in the Obamacare bill but they would have been solved in less intrusive legislation. The better choice was blocked by those who want a full-takeover of healthcare to give the political class and thus the donor class more power over the people.
As a Democrat I am ashamed to say that the Republicans have had the better ideas. However, once the Dems passed the Obamacare bill, the Republicans began to hide like gutless worms. KISS is an acronym that means "Keep it Simple Stupid." The hard-left elements of the Democratic party would not accept healthcare reform with improvement of everybody's health and care as its a goal.
Instead, they wanted full government control and they have almost achieved it. People have short memories about political hurts. However, as more and more people get whacked as all aspects of Obamacare come out of delayed status and become effective, the higher premiums, higher deductibles, and less medical options have become very obvious. If the people remember, it may ultimately kill the effectiveness of the Democratic party for years to come. To get what it wanted, Democrats used the old tricks of the politician and they are still using that trick to explain away what they did. They simply lied to the American people. Have the people forgotten that already? I don't think so. You can keep your doctor... etc. Right!
It would have taken a substantially smaller effort to solve the real problems with healthcare without the huge bureaucracy with parts arriving every day. Who needs 16,000 new IRS agents followed by 85,000 more? What an absolutely unpleasant gift to the American people. Anybody who voted for one additional IRS agent should not ever be re-elected. In fact, they ought to be immediately impeached. The people do not like the IRS.
Why does the whole healthcare system have to spin in chaos and why do you have to give up your insurance and why does Medicare have to be depleted for the hard-left to be satisfied. Does anybody really want big government in control of our lies? They lied about control, not healthcare being the primary goal and that's why it took a year to get this monster passed. Because they did not want their lie discovered, for the past ten years, they have been putting off the more stinging parts of the implementation. But we are on to them.
More than likely we all agree that increased government regulation on anything creates rising costs and red tape. Red tape itself is a major cost that must be born by business twice. They must pay the processing costs in their companies and then must pay for the bureaucrats to create the red tape rules and to process the red tape. Remember, the government earns no income -- it merely confiscates the income of others. So, when it pays for something, well, as you know, somebody, a regular Joe, such as you or I, is actually paying. They take your money to pay for their lies.
The failure of past government policies has contributed the most to what is now perceived to be the failure of the healthcare market. Nobody wants to discuss the fact that percentage-wise, the government denies more treatment than any other provider of "insurance." Medicare and Medicaid tell twice as many that their tests and procedures are not covered. That is a fact. So, why would we choose to give the whole system to these people? Will things actually get better when we give up private insurance?
Adding 30 million citizens and another 60 million illegals, who are uninsured or under-insured, does not make the market stronger. The illegals adds to the hurt. There will be 90 million people that you have to pay for. I don't want to pay for them because, among other reasons, everybody already has minimal coverage under EMTALA. If you are scoring at home folks, this makes the situation much worse. Adding 60 million more, formerly classified as illegal foreign nationals, will make healthcare and the debt triply worse.
As government bureaucracy continues to give preferences and protections to HMOs and trial lawyers, and non-Americans, it surely will be the patients who lose. There is no other America where we can migrate. Therefore, as our country falls to socialism, our lives will become controlled by the government and that will result in harder work and substantially less smiles.
I am convinced that if the US had control of all the Leprechaun's gold, one would have good reason to speculate that the the pot would be completely empty by now and our leaders would be trying to sell the pot on the illegal market. You can't give what you haven't got. Eventually somebody has to pay for it. It will either be the future generations of children and grandchildren and the yet to be born or this one time strong country will collapse under the weight of its own debt. Will future generations be born in a free America? That is a heavy thought isn't it? So far, it does not look too good.
Government Lies Were Also Big in WWII Germany
There is a precedent for government lying and the danger it brings. Is it innocuous or dangerous? It depends on whether you want to have freedom or you want the state to have power over every one of your decisions. What part of the Obamacare fiasco do you think was honest. What part will help you? To whom was the Congress lying? They were lying to the American people and we knew they were lying and we were helpless to stop them because the wrong people were in office, and we rewarded them by reelecting many of them. The 111th US Congress and this US President were not the first to lie to the people. Why has the 112th, 113th, and 114th Congress solved the problem? Why? Because they are happy the way things are. They are doing fine and they do not plan to make life better for you. To get a better perspective of why lying is dangerous to the country, let's take a trip back in time and overseas.
Dr. Paul Joseph Goebbels was a German politician and he advanced in politics until he was the Reich Minister of Propaganda in Nazi Germany. He served from 1933 to 1945. He was one of German Dictator Adolf Hitler's closest associates and most devout followers. He was with Hitler to the end--literally.
The Germans gave Goebbels a title that fit his job -- Minister of Propaganda. Perhaps Minister of Lies would have been better. In the US, we would call him the Minister of Veracity-Challenged Truth or perhaps, some would call him the Whitehouse Press Secretary. Goebbels saw the lie as an important tool of the state. Here are several quotes that make today's American government seem like a place in which Herr Goebbels would be warmly welcomed:
Goebbels Quote 1
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
Americans --- Welcome to the new statist America! Do you really think that anything from the government in the two months preceding the passage of Obamacare on March 21, was the truth? How many times have you heard that Republicans were going to repeal and replace Obamacare? Yet, here we are with Republicans owning both chambers and they have forgotten their promises just like the Democrats lied. Forgotten promises are the same a lies.
Goebbels Quote 2
“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over”
Americans hear this: Hundreds of thousands of jobs have been saved. This bill will reduce the deficit. Does this rhetoric sound familiar? If it sounds good then perhaps you enjoy the sound of the lie?
Goebbels Quote 3
“Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play.”
In this context, some would see President Obama as a fine pianist playing the press with every depression of the keyboard. Biden of course cannot maintain a tune but he thinks he is the best. But, perhaps we give both the "free press" and the President too much credit here. It seems to me that the press in the U.S. is more like a player piano that on its own plays government tunes. For its part, the President and his government, including a complicit Congress can be seen as making the Music rolls for the piano to play. No apologies ever!
Many, such as myself believe that the press is not free. If it is free it is so biased that its freedom is imperceptible in its worship of the hard left agenda. The only apparent free press for years in America, Fox News, is owned by an Australian? Now we have NewsMax and OAN, which are often better truthtellers than Fox. I sure hope Biden does not keep upsetting the Aussies. They are all we have separating us from a sea of lies.
Goebbels' Quote 4
"It is the absolute right of the State to supervise the formation of public opinion"
Think about President Obama and Veep Biden going around the country to explain why Obamacare is so good. Why is he doing that? Who better to supervise the formation of public opinion than the President himself.
By the way, Paul Josef Goebbels and his wife committed suicide before being captured by the allies in 1945. Prior to their suicides, Goebbels' wife killed their six children. Sweet! Have a nice future.
Propaganda does not play well when its reality hurts the people.
